Merko (Europe) Ltd was formed in 1993, importing frozen vegetables, frozen fruits and aseptic tomatoes from the Merko Gida factory in Turkey. The company specialised in supplying these ingredients in full container loads direct to customer’s factories. This approach worked very well for a number of years, however customer’s requirements are constantly changing and the business realised that it had to be more flexible.

FCL or Service Contract Deliveries

So, in 2006 the business grew with the addition of new staff members and the company was able to forge new relationships with IQF Vegetable and Fruit processors across the globe, to offer a wider range of products. This meant that in addition to full container load deliveries, the company was now able to offer a service contract facility for those customers who could not handle full container deliveries.

Aseptic Tomatoes

Although Merko Gida have ceased frozen vegetable production, they remain an important supplier to our business with their aseptic tomato products.
